Visiting Lecturer in Italian

NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY’s Department of French and Italian invites applications for a one-year part-time visiting appointment beginning September 1, 2017 at the rank of lecturer in Italian. The successful candidate will work with existing faculty in Italian and teach five to seven courses at the elementary and intermediate levels. Native or near-native proficiency in Italian and in English and prior experience in teaching Italian as FL/L2 required. PhD or ABD in Italian or in a related field preferred.

Applications consisting of a cover letter, CV, a statement of teaching philosophy, student course evaluations and 3 letters of recommendation (at least one of which must address excellence in teaching) should be submitted in PDF format to Elizabeth Murray.
