Annica Schjött-Voneche

Annica Schjött-Voneche is a doctoral candidate in French with a BA in French and Swedish and an MA in French from the Universities of Lund and Gothenburg (Sweden). In 1997-1998, she spent one year as a student at the University of Québec in Montréal studying Québécois culture and literature. She is currently working on her dissertation on questions of memory and identity in francophone migrant literature. She is also interested in Italian language and literature, and spent the summer of 2004 in Florence, Italy to study the Italian language thanks to grants from Northwestern and from the Italian Cultural Institute. In 2005 she was awarded an Honorable Mention for Distinguished Teaching by a Graduate Student in the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences.
